After clicking the Submit button, iDiagnosis produces an initial result of 92 diseases that correspond to the symptoms. The website also displays the chosen symptoms, as well as the top 3 diagnosis associated with the symptoms (figure 4). Clearly in this example, the initial selected symptoms are not sufficient to produce a well-defined set of diagnosis. To refine the diagnosis results, we click the Continue button, which leads to a new set of symptom list associated with the diagnosed diseases produced in the previous round of diagnosis. It is important to note that the iDiagnosis does not accept corrections. If you think your initial selections of the symptoms are incorrect, just click the Restart button to repeat the diagnostic routine.
